Parents in Process: A Workshop for Prospective Adoptive Parents

The fair will include information on domestic, international and special needs adoptions, and will offer workshops on how to get started with the process. Event sponsored by WLKY-TV, Wednesday’s Child, and local adoption agencies.

A new six-week session is underway, meeting from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Learn basic job search skills from an experienced career advisor. $10 fee.

Social Media in the Job Search
February 20, focusing on Linkedin.12:30  p.m. and 5:30 p.m.  $10 fee.

A.C.T. Preparation
Mondays and Tuesdays, Jan. 30 – Feb. 21 for eight sessions.  7-9 p.m.$170 fee includes materials.

Shabbos Friends Volunteers Needed
The Doris L. and  Theodore Meyers Shabbos Friends Program needs volunteers to visit just one nursing facility on the 1st or 3rd Friday of each month, to share the Sabbath blessings, fresh challah and spiritual joy with Jewish residents living there. JFCS Food Pantry Items Needed
Food Pantry suggestions for February – Cereals, oatmeal, pancake mix, Cream of Wheat, syrup, applesauce. All donated food must be in its original packaging. Please do not donate expired items as they cannot be distributed. Contact Shelley Kahn at ext. 103 or skahn@jfcslouisville.org.

Now Offering Wheelchair-Accessible Transportation!
JFCS has a wheelchair accessible vehicle.  A round trip fee is just $15. A one-time-only program assessment fee is $50. This service may be used for medical purposes or can be used for errands or more social needs.
