JFCS Honors Six with M.O.S.A.I.C.s

On Thursday, May 17, Jewish Family & Career Services will honor six individuals at the seventh annual M.O.S.A.I.C. Awards (Multicultural Opportunities for Success and Achievement In our Community).

Honorees this year are:

 

Israel Benitos, originally from Bolivia, who owns the Benitos Group and is a volunteer soccer coach in Clark County.

Cedric Francois, who was born in Belgium and now is the founder of several research companies trying to find a cure for macular degeneration and severe asthma.

Dr. Mohammed Hussain, who came to Louisville from Pakistan and founded River City Cardiology.

Rishabh Mehrotra and Lopa Mehrotra, a dynamic Indian couple.  He is CEO of SHPS and sits on the boards of the Health Enterprises Network, YPO, Leadership Louisville and GLI.  She is founder and CEO of TestToob, Inc. and sits on the boards of Chance School, U of L and Women 4 Women.

Thomson Smillie, who was born in Scotland. He is an international lecturer and writer on opera and the arts and is the retired director of the Kentucky Opera.

The event and dinner program will be held at the Henry Clay.  Doors will open at 5 p.m. to a new addition to the event, a Microbusiness Showcase in the lobby, featuring microentrepreneurs who went through training and received their loan through the JFCS Navigate Enterprise Center. One of these individuals will be awarded the Navigate Entrepreneur of the Year award. The cocktail reception on the second floor will last until 6:30 p.m.  The dinner and program follows, ending at approximately 8:30 p.m.  The event is business attire.

Jewish Hospital HealthCare Services is the title sponsor, WLKY is the media sponsor and Papercone Corporation is the M.O.S.A.I.C. sponsor. Tickets are only $100 per person and table sponsorships are still available for $1,500. Tickets can be ordered online at www.jfcslouisville.org.
