JCRC Update: Rebuffing Biden, Abbas offers condolences but doesn’t condemn attack

Our JCRC condemns the horrific terrorist attacks in Israel yesterday, and we mourn the loss of Taylor Force, a U.S. citizen brutally murdered by a Palestinian terrorist. We pray for the speedy recovery of those still injured. We also thank Vice-President Biden, in Israel at the time of the attacks, who said: “The United States of American Condemns these acts and condemns the failure to condemn these attacks.”

We again call on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to condemn these attacks, something he has failed to do despite what is becoming almost daily opportunities. These attacks not only harm innocent Israelis (including Israeli Arabs, several of whom are among the still injured), they also increase the fear, mistrust and suspicion which will make any peaceful resolution of the conflict that much more difficult to obtain.
