JCC Sukkah A Happening Place

Everyone enjoyed the JCC Sukkah in its new location close to the building this Sukkot, September 30-October 7.
The large sukkah was built by Middle Schoolers from Teen Connections under the direction of Shmuly Litvin, Matt Schwartz, Ariel Kronenberg, David Siskin Mike Steklof and Ben Goldenberg.

The JCC Preschool helped decorate the sukkah by making pictures of their harvest. They also did mitzvot (good deeds) by eating snacks inside.

PJ Library had a Story Hour in the Sukkah, with Marsha Roth reading a story about Sukkot for families with young children.

The Senior Department had their annual Sukkot Luncheon inside the sukkah. Rabbi Litvin stopped by to shake the lulov and etrog and share a story about the holiday.

During School’s Out Day, children in Kindergarten through 5th grade also had snacks outside. After Hebrew School, families were invited to bring a picnic dinner.
