The brisk air outside does not mean that your children cannot enjoy the fun of Camp J over winter break. Camp J’s Winter Camp is back December 20-January 2. This year, children will go on a quest from Camelot to Neverland.
“With arts and crafts, scavenger hunts and other fun activities, our campers will travel to places they have only read about and dreamed of,” says Katelyn Graves, The J Assistant Camp Director.
Winter Camp is open to children from kindergarten through sixth grade with field trips on Thursdays. Middle school children also have their own activities every Friday, with field trips, lunch and swimming at The J.
New this year, Guy Abend, midfielder for the 2017 USL Champion Louisville City Football Club, will lead a soccer camp for ages 5-17 December 20-22.
Guy started playing soccer at the JCC in Washington DC at the age of 6. Later, he signed his first contract for the Under 18 national team for Israel and Rishon Le Zion. He signed with LCFC three years ago.
Camp is open daily from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with Get Up Gang from 7:30-9 a.m. and Stay ‘N Play available from 4-6 p.m. Every day includes physical activity, arts and crafts and a snack, with swimming daily for children in kindergarten-5th grade.
