The High School of Jewish Studies provides ninth- and 10th-grade students with opportunities for personal and intellectual growth in their faith. Students in The Temple, Temple Shalom, Adath Jeshurun and Keneseth Israel confirmation classes take part in HSJS classes. Academic offerings allow students to explore the experiences of the Jewish people, deepen their knowledge of Jewish thought and practices, and sensitize them to Judaism’s values and concerns. The High School seeks to foster a positive adult Jewish identity and commitment to active participation in Jewish life.

Subjects include Israel, history, ethics, customs and laws, Jewish inquiry, comparative religion, Talmud, Jewish music and Jewish philosophy.
