Each year The Temple commemorates the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a special Friday Shabbat Service preceding the national holiday. Although many wonderful guest speakers and programs have been enjoyed throughout the years, the 2011 event promises to be one truly worth remembering. The very special guest on January 14 at 7:30 p.m. will be the multi-talented and award winning performer Harry Pickens.

During the service, Pickens will give an inspirational talk evoking the courage, energy and determination of Dr. King, and will thrill those assembled with a performance on The Temple’s grand piano in the main sanctuary.
An Oneg Shabbat will follow the service.Everyone in the community is invited to be a part of this evening in honor of Dr. King and his abiding influence today.
