Grants for Jewish Groups Available from JHHS

Since Jewish Hospital’s founding in 1903, the Louisville Jewish community has steadfastly nurtured and provided for its growth and development into a premier medical center recognized for innovative research, landmark surgical breakthroughs and premier rehabilitation services. In grateful appreciation for the Jewish community’s enduring loyalty to the organization, the board of Jewish Hospital HealthCare Services (JHHS), the parent company of Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare, has committed to continuing its long-term support of the Jewish community in the form of a funding program, the “JHHS Louisville Jewish Community Excellence Grants.”

The JHHS Excellence Grants are designed to provide programmatic support and grants for small capital projects to charitable organizations in the Louisville region that benefit the Jewish community in the areas of Jewish Culture and Identity; Health; Human Services and Education. Excluded from consideration are requests from individuals, organizations outside the Louisville region, political organizations and organizations seeking multi-year support.

Requests for JHHS Louisville Jewish Community Excellence Grants must be submitted in writing using the application available at: www.jhsmh.org. Applications may be submitted at any time and will be reviewed quarterly (on January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1, by a committee of JHHS Board Members appointed by the Board Chairperson) for funding for the next quarter. Applications will be judged on the merits of the material submitted. All applicants will be notified in writing about final funding decisions.
