Gateway To Careers Coming Soon to JFCS

As one of nine participating affiliates of the International Association of Jewish Vocational Services, Jewish Family & Career Services will benefit from a portion of a $2.9 million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.

This two-year grant, called the Gateway Project, will allow JFCS to work with career changers, job seekers, individuals returning to the workforce, incumbent healthcare workers and other consumers, particularly those who aspire to pursue or advance careers in the healthcare field.

The project will help participants learn how to access and use on-line career information most effectively, especially information geared to the healthcare sector.

JFCS is the smallest agency participating in Gateway Project. The agency was chosen because of its long-standing history in career services. Other participating cities are Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Jersey, New York, Minneapolis and Philadelphia.
