The dog days of summer are over and outdoor pools at The J are closed. But before all the water was gone, we threw one last party for the dogs. More than 250 dogs came out to the sixth annual Doggie Dip, sponsored by Pet First Pet Insurance, the largest crowd ever. Together with their two legged companions, the dogs had fun splashing and swimming in the Family and Seng Jewelers Wading Pools.
“The Doggie Dip is a great way to close the summer,” said Johnny Kimberlin, Aquatics Director. “We are always impressed by the amount of people and dogs that come out to the event.”
A portion of the proceeds from the Doggie Dip will be given to canine charities in Louisville. The Doggie Dip will return next year.
