Family Fun at Apple Picking Event

Over 20 families began their Rosh Hashanah celebration early by apple picking with PJ Library. Hidden Hollow Orchards, a local farm located just off of Old Henry Road, was closed to the public this season but graciously made an exception to host the youngest members of the Jewish community.

The families in attendance had a real treat as the orchard had hardly been touched and a large variety of apples was available for picking. Local honey was also for sale to complete the Rosh Hashanah treat.

PJ Library is an outreach program sponsored by the Jewish Community Center , the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and the Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence. Free high-quality Jewish books and CDs are sent monthly to all enrolled participants. All families raising Jewish children between the ages of 6 months and 8 are eligible for enrollment.

Registration is open at pjlibrary.org or by contacting Jennifer Tuvlin at jtuvlin@jewishlouisville.org.
