The Temple: Celebrating 175 Years
2018 marks The Temple, Congregation Adath Israel Brith Sholom’s 175th anniversary.
Join us for a series of celebrations throughout the year:
May 12 – Temple Birthday Party
Summer 2018 – The Temple: A Retrospective with Rabbi Rapport
Fall 2018 – A Community Celebration
The 175th Anniversary celebration of The Temple began with The Founders Day Shabbat in January, The Tot Shabbat, and The Rabbi Oscar Mayer Wise Birthday Shabbat in March, all of which shared stories and the history of the beginnings of our Temple.
On May 11 we will have our Grandparents Shabbat to share generations in prayer, and the morning of May 12 The Temple Brotherhood will provide a special oneg after services. On the evening of May 12 we will have a very special birthday party with dinner, live music, pictures of our history, a slide show of Temple Generations, and special recognitions.
The almost yearlong anniversary activities will culminate in October with a Shabbat visit from Rabbi Rick Jacobs, President of The Union of Reform Judaism.
