Rebirth of Judaism in Eastern Europe: The stories of two young women from Budapest

November 5, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Following the Holocaust, many Eastern European communities saw their Jewish populations continue diminish under communist rule. Those that remained, often hid their Judaism. But now, grandmothers and grandfathers are telling their families that they are actually Jewish, inviting a revival of Jewish life throughout the area.

In Hungary, there are now more than 100,000 Jews. Hear from two women as they reconnect and embrace their Jewish roots through Birthright and the Partnership2Gether program and are working to build the institutions for a vibrant Jewish future.

The program is free and open to the community. Refreshments will be served.
