ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Prolific author, speaker, producer and entrepreneur Laura Morton will present What I Have Learned from Telling Other People’s Stories, one of her most popular speeches full of life lessons gleaned from her career as “collaborator to the stars.” Morton has written more than 40 books, including a staggering 19 New York Times bestsellers, with a wide variety of celebrities including Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Melissa Etheridge, the Jonas Brothers, Susan Lucci and many more. Her most recent publications are the 2016 wisdom and advice book, Been There, Done That, written with news anchor Al Roker and his wife, Deborah Roberts, as well as the health book, The Stark Naked 21 Day Metabolic Reset, created with fitness trainer Brad Davidson.
Morton is a highly sought-after speaker whose charismatic style, powerful speeches and dynamic storytelling have enchanted audiences for years. What I Have Learned from Telling Other People’s Stories is a poignant, hilarious and unforgettable reflection on the many lives Morton has touched in her career working with people from all walks of life – including politicians, models, actors, journalists and CEOs. Her experiences have given her an unmatched perspective on life, society and what it takes to succeed.
The Contemporary Thought Series is a tribute to Lillian O. Seligman, who served as president of the Jewish Family & Career Services Board of Directors. Seligman maintained an active interest in JFCS and its success, even in the years following her time as board president. Her passion remains an inspiration, and the Contemporary Thought Forum Series will offer the community a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Lillian’s love of learning with thought-provoking, entertaining programming.
