Israeli Culinary Experience

Lunch with Chef Morris and Sous Chef Hadas
Enjoy an intimate Israeli–style lunch prepared by Chef Morris, renowned Israeli chef from the Western Galilee. Tania Ronen, a member of a Jewish and Arab-Israeli women’s cooking and discussion group, will speak about her experiences and other programs as part of Partnership 2Gether.
This event is exclusively for Lion of Judah and Pomegranate Society donors.
Chef Morris Zrihen started as a chef 20 years ago in Israel. He opened “The Breakfast Club” in 2012, focusing on Israeli-style breakfasts. Chef Morris’ food is a fusion of Middle East, French, Italian and Spanish dishes, focusing on vegetables with herb preparations. The restaurant is located in Shavey Tzion, a village in the north of Israel where he lives with his wife and two children.
Sous Chef Hadas Hay is the Director of the Kitchen at The Breakfast Club. Chef Hadas was born and raised in Shavey Tzion. She found her passion for food after holding several different occupations including a meteorologist in the army and working for a tobacco company.

The meal reflects the modern Israeli kitchen, fusion of various kitchens – Middle East, Italian, French and Spanish – it’s delicious, health and light with rich vegetarian dishes.

- Vegetable salad and Rocket leaves salad
- Roman market, briosh with Mozarella, beans and eggs
- Kumzitz (the Israeli campfire/bonfire) White tuna or Mackerel
- Okra
- Sourdough bread
- For dessert: Mille-feuille with berries and strawberries
