Beer Got Your Tongue: Pairing Beer & Chocolate Cake

$30Louisville native and renowned brewmaster Jared Rouben, of Moody Tongue Brewing Company in Chicago, IL, invites you to embark on an intimate educational experience pairing beer with dessert, as he hosts a Beer and Cake Pairing Experience at The Foundry at Glassworks.
The class is expertly led by Brewmaster Jared Rouben and Moody Tongue’s Pastry Chef Shannon Morrison, who teach guests how to pair a selection of beers with dessert. The interactive experience takes guests on a layer-by-layer tour of Moody Tongue’s famous 12-layer German chocolate cake, showcasing the romance between beer and the decadent dessert. Rouben and Morrison, both classmates and graduates of the Culinary Institute of America in New York, take guests on a journey throughout all layers of the German Chocolate Cake, such as a rich yet light espresso speckled cheesecake, the chocolate buttercream frosting, and a chocolate cereal crust, all while learning how to properly pair each layer with specific beer styles.
