Adath Jeshurun is holding an Outdoor Book Drive to collect books for a “Little Free Library” that AJ is sponsoring in Louisville’s Chickasaw neighborhood. The Book Drive will be held at AJ this afternoon from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM under the portico by the Blue Family Rose Garden.

The concept of the Little Free Library is to provide opportunities to take a book, or share a book to inspire a love of reading and to build community. New and gently-used children’s and adult books will be accepted. Contemporary authors and books with African-American storylines are especially desired. We cannot accept textbooks, encyclopedias, or religious-themed books.
