Adath Jeshurun’s Kabbalat Service & dinner

Adath Jeshurun invites you to a lively service with musical instruments, followed by a catered kiddush supper by Maureen Hartmann, and an important presentation on human rights and social justice. The discussion will explore the Israeli Supreme Court’s role in defending human rights and reshaping Israel’s Democratic and Jewish identity, including rights to equality, freedom of employment, freedom of speech, civil liberties for marriage and property ownership, amongst others.
Guest Speaker, Rotem Malach is both a licensed attorney and a high school teacher. He works as the central emissary in North America for the world Zionist Organization’s Department of Diaspora Activities. He is also the author of “The Democratic Citizen”, a civics textbook used in Israeli schools.
