From infancy to five years of age, the Jewish Community of Louisville has an array of programs to stimulate young children and enhance the community bond with fellow parents.
Early Childhood Education Center (J-CARE & J-TOTS)
It is difficult to leave your children in the care of others and be confident that they’ll get the same stimulation and care you would give. Our staff will bond with you and your child to build trust and become an extension of your family. Click here to learn more.
J-PLAY – Drop-In Babysitting Service
Bring your child to play in the safe and fun environment of our babysitting room while you work out at the JCC. Reservations are encouraged. Parents must remain on the premises during the time their children are in J-Play unless they purchase an Out the Door pass.

- All children will need to have a J-Play Emergency Contact and Health form completed and on file.
* Hours in a 30 Hour Card can be used in 30 minute increments.
** There will no longer be a free children’s lounge for children in K-5th grade during winter, spring and summer vacations

Shalom Baby connects the Jewish community with young families who anticipate or have recently experienced the birth or adoption of a child (newborn through 18 months of age) and help them find support and build social connections. Click here to learn more.

Mothers Circle is an educational and support program for mothers of different faiths who have chosen to raise their children Jewish. PJ Library
We all know the power of reading stories with young children. These nurturing, joyous, and beneficial early learning experiences build the emotional and cognitive foundation for each child. Each child, age 6 months-8 years, you enroll in The PJ Library will receive a monthly gift of a high-quality, age-appropriate Jewish book or CD as well as a reading guide to enhance your family’s experience.
