Why pay all that extra money for off-shore scuba diving on a cruise when your kids can learn to scuba right here at The J Summer Camp?
Intro to Scuba is just one of over a dozen specialty camps that children, kindergarten age through 9th grade, can participate in, starting June 6 at The J.
Flippers and wetsuits not your child’s thing? Perform right at the heart of CenterStage during Musical Theatre Camp or fall into the gravitational force at Astronaut-Jedi Training Camp. These are just some of The J’s unique camps devoted to expanding children’s imaginations and encouraging them to express themselves.
That’s why Summer Camp at The J is more than just a place where children come to play during the summer. This year’s imagine-themed camp will give campers the opportunity to learn the importance of social action and how they can make a positive social change in the world.
Some children like to express themselves through dance, and that’s where The J’s Dance Camp comes in. Dance Camp encourages children to explore the world of dance and bust out moves to favorite radio tunes. Mom and Dad, see what your children have learned all camp long at a dance performance to conclude Dance Camp.
Perhaps among the top of The J Summer Camp’s list is Water World Camp, where campers get to put on their bathing suits and hit the local water parks. But, most importantly, Water World Camp begins with water safety lessons. Every camp, however, includes free daily swim.
The Yachad Inclusion Program gives everyone a chance to participate in The J’s camps by giving children with special needs the resources they need to participate in camp activities. Some children are assigned a full-day advocate while others utilize an advocate assistant during challenging times or activities. Advocates personalize the camp experience to meet the individual needs of the child.
Registration for The J’ Summer Camp is open and slots are filling up quickly. (Two are already sold out!) Don’t wait, CELEBRATE Summer 2016 and give your children the time of their lives–seriously who else gets to be a secret agent at summer camp?
Camps last all summer, June 6-August 5 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with extended day options available from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Scholarships and discounts are available. To register, visit www.JCCLouisvilleCamp.org.
