Concert at Temple Shalom to Benefit JFCS Food Pantry

Temple Shalom prides itself for the support its members give to the Sonny and Janet Meyer Family Food Pantry Fund that helps to support the Jewish Family & Career Services Food Pantry in the Roth Family Center.

Every year at High Holy Days, Temple Shalom congregants fills grocery bag after grocery bag with non-perishable food items to help feed families in need. But this does not occur only at High Holy Days. Every week, congregants fill the barrel with food which Tami Penner graciously transports to the food pantry.

Continuing in this tradition, Temple Shalom is hosting a benefit concert for the food pantry on Sunday, February 27, at 7 p.m. Five outstanding musicians from the Louisville Orchestra are donating their time and musical ability. They are supporters of good works in Louisville and want to do their part to contribute to the welfare of the people of Louisville.

They will present an evening of wonderful music – from pops to light classical. The concert will be followed by a dessert reception.

Admission to the concert is a $10 per person donation plus non-perishable food items (think Passover foods). Tickets can be purchased at the door on the evening of the concert.

The whole community is invited to hear good music, support our extraordinary Louisville musicians and help to feed families in need. Temple Shalom is at 4615 Lowe Road.
