Chavurat Shalom has plans for February

Chavurat Shalom meets in the Levy Great Hall of the Klein Center at The Temple, 5101 U.S. Highway 42, unless otherwise noted in the listing. It is a community-wide program, and all congregation members and Jewish residents are welcome.

Thursday, February 2

Hannah Parker, jazz, pop, and classical pianist will entertain us in the main sanctuary. Lunch will be in the Heideman auditorium and we’ll enjoy chicken fettuccine with marinara sauce, sautéed zucchini and onions, mixed green salad, fresh fruit, and cookies and brownies.

Thursday, February 9

Matt Goldberg will discuss, “How Interfaith Relations is a Jewish Value.”  Lunch will include beef pot pie, caesar salad, baby carrots, fresh fruit, and banana pudding.

Thursday, February 16

Alan Zukof and Steve Bradley will perform guitar and piano music in the Waller Chapel. Lunch will be in the Heideman auditorium and will include fried chicken strips, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, fresh fruit, and chocolate cake. We’ll also celebrate February birthdays and anniversaries.

Thursday, February 23

Leon Wahba and David Weinberg will talk about Jewish Identity in Cuba and share their experience from their recent trip. Lunch will include beef stew, pasta salad, corn, fresh fruit, blackberry cobbler, and some homemade Cuban sweets.
