Challahs for a Cause, a new partnership between Kentucky Institute for Torah Education (KITE) & Jewish Family & Career Services (JFCS), is set for 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, at the JFCS, 2821 Klempner Way
Jewish women, ages 12 and up, will make challah for Shabbat. Instead of taking home four challahs to be baked, one will be left behind to be baked by KITE. JFCS volunteers of the Doris L. and Theodore B. Meyers Shabbos Friends Program will take the challahs to their monthly visits at assisted living and nursing facilities to share the Sabbath joy with the Jewish residents living there.
