Cabaret

The year is 1931 and the place is Berlin as the Nazis begin to emerge as a major power. Aspiring American writer Cliff Shepherd arrives in the tension-tinged city on New Year’s Eve and is lured from his boardinghouse room into the night and across the street to a bawdy, tantalizing nightclub.

You’re invited too. Come to the Cabaret – if you dare.

CenterStage’s presentation of this Joe Masteroff classic with music by Kander and Ebb opened Thursday night as the next offering in Artistic Director John R. Leffert’s 10th anniversary season. Edgy and bawdy, provocative and intoxicating, Cabaret promises an evening (or afternoon) of engaging entertainment and adult subject matter.

With Melissa Shepherd as Sally Bowles, Alex Craig as Cliff Bradshaw and many other talented performers, Caberet is not to be missed.
