Arlene Kaufman Retires from The Temple Trager ECE Center

The Temple Trager Early Childhood Education Center honored Arlene K. Kaufman for 19 years of service and dedication to the children and families of the preschool. When she retired on Friday, April 6, the school celebrated her devotion with a tree-naming service and sing-along with the preschool children.

Kaufman has been a leader in the Jewish community for many years. She served as a teacher at Eliahu Academy, president of the Jewish Community Center and as a member of many Jewish agency boards over the years.

“She will be missed and remembered fondly at the preschool,” said Alison Roemer, “and the tree will forever remind us of this amazing woman. There will always be a special place in our hearts for Ms. Arlene.”

The Temple has named Roemer, who has served as assistant director of the preschool for the past five years, as director.
