When Mitch Albom’s Tuesdays with Morrie was published, the author’s account of regularly traveling across the country to meet with his former professor as the teacher struggled with the progressive burdens of ALS touched hearts across America and quickly landed on The New York Times Bestseller List.
The book stayed on the Bestseller List for four years and was also turned into a movie. Albom wrote the book to help pay Morrie’s medical bills.
The Federation Campaign is bringing Albom to Louisville on December 1 for a special two-part event that includes an invitation-only reception for major donors and a general event for the entire community where Albom will speak. The general event will be open to those who support the Campaign at a more modest level.
